Thornbury Golf Club
Thornbury Golf Club is an integral part of the Thornbury Golf Centre which can be found within five minutes of the pleasant Gloucestershire town. It boasts a thriving membership and its strengths lie in the camaraderie of its members and the variety of competitions run by all four sections of the club: Men’s, Ladies’, Seniors’ and Juniors’. They include not only formal monthly medal and stableford competitions but also social competitions and offer the opportunity of playing in external matches and competitions both locally and nationally.
New members are welcomed and encouraged to mix with existing members by playing in both the formal and social competitions.
Facilities include the 6300 yard Marlwood High Course and the 18 hole par3 Low Course, both of which are maintained to a high standard, and also a covered driving range, a practice putting green and chipping area. There is a well stocked pro shop, three teaching pros and good bar and restaurant facilities.
Thornbury Golf Club has a policy of seeking continuous improvement in all aspects of its operations including the course itself, the development of junior golf and social functions and it has an active committee to ensure these objectives are realised.
