NEW RULES FOR RETURNING / RECORDING SCORES IN OPENS

England Golf now requires all players to return scores in non-qualifying competitions at Away clubs (i.e. everywhere but Thornbury).

Individual or Team scores must be returned in the following competitions:-

Bowmakers,  Singles,  Am-Am,  4BBB

Excluded from this are:-

Texas Scrambles,  Foursomes,  Greensomes,  Team Matches e.g. B&D

The scores will not directly affect a player’s handicap, and will not therefore be entered into the handicapping software.  They will simply be used to provide supporting evidence of performance for use in the handicap review.

What do you have to do?

If you have competed in one of the eligible Away competitions, you need to complete and submit a form which is online above, click on 'Open Form'

Paper copies of this form are available in the dispensers outside the ladies changing room and these must be completed and submitted to the relevant Handicap secretary.

Please note that in accordance with the England Golf and CONGU regulations, it is your responsibility to return scores as required.  Failure to return these scores by the player could result in loss or suspension of handicap under clause 24.1.     If you require further information about this change to recording scores in Opens more details can be found on the links on the web page detailed above.

Thank you for your cooperation.     The Handicap Committee.
